My name is Norberto Salazar. I was born in Colombia and have more than 30 years of experience in the purchase and sale of fine quality emeralds. My expertise also extends to handcrafting jewelry, including custom design and gemstone setting. I love my work — every piece I create is unique.

I came to the United States 21 years ago, now residing in Hollywood, Florida. My wife, Mireya, and I started Emeralds & Jewelry Corp. in March 2000 — then a small, neighborhood jewelry store located in the Pembroke Lakes Mall in Florida.

Our original concept for the store was to create handcrafted emerald jewelry that would be sold exclusively to jewelry stores. However, we missed the personal contact with customers and the fun of creating distinctive pieces for distinctive individuals. So instead of selling to jewelry stores, we chose to sell our creations directly to the public at wholesale prices.

In September 2007 we successfully launched our online store — https://emeraldsandjewelry.com — and now sell our unique pieces worldwide!
